Thank you for your interest in my work. My art is about the expression of emotion. Each piece that I have chosen to display is rooted in an emotional context. Sometimes these are raw emotions like love or hope and sometimes they are complex emotions like those induced by certain aesthetics. Each piece has a story regarding this emotional context, feel free to inquire if an explanation of any piece is of interest to you.
I have been developing my personal approach to expressing myself in art for much of my life. In the last year I have simplified my techniques and found great personal satisfaction in what I have created as a result. I primarily work in acrylics on canvas or panel.
I have spent most of my life in Colorado. My current home is in Estes Park where I maintain a studio; however, much of my time is spent in LA. The contrast in environments is important to me. Significant international travel and a deep interest in the abstract expressionist movement has greatly influenced me and my work. Each piece is labeled with a categorization that indicates the context in which to view it.
